Ya ha empezado la cuanta atrás para la feria más importante de scrap de nuestro pais, Scrap+ Sitges. Se celebra del 29 al 31 de este mes y es una cita a la que intento no faltar.
The countdown has already begun for the most important scrap fair in our country, Scrap + Sitges. It is celebrated from the 29 to the 31 of this month and it is an appointment to which I try not to miss.
Voy los tres días por lo que tengo tiempo de sobra para verla, porque además este año no asistiré a ningún taller grande. Pero aún así me gusta organizarme y hacer un libreto con todo apuntado.
Este año he decidido usar un álbum tipo Midori. La estructura la aprendí en un taller de Vintage Odissey y es muy fácil de hacer, ademas te ofrece una apertura total y unas tapas rígidas donde poder escribir con comodidad.

La temática de la feria este año es el mar. Para mi el mar significa calma, vacaciones. Y por alguna razón eso lo reflejo en el color blanco. Ademas tenia un papel cuero de Sizzix que quería usar. La idea inicial era hacer un midori normal con ese papel, pero me di cuenta que era muy fino. Así que cambié la estructura pero no el papel.
The theme of the fair this year is the sea. For me, the sea means calm, vacation. And for some reason, I think that that can be said using the white color. I also had a leather Sizzix paper that I wanted to use. The initial idea was to make a normal Midori with that paper, but I realized that it was very thin. So I changed the structure, adding chipboard, but not the paper.
La inspiración de la decoración viene de la colección de papeles de Kora Projects, Sea time. Inspirada en el mar, es una colección que te traslada a cualquier pueblo costero. Pero no quería poner muchas capas en la portada, para que fuese manejable, así que decidí coger uno de los motivos de la colección y pintarlo a mano con acuarelas de Prima y CarrotCake by Vallejo.
Como quedaba muy blanco añadir gotas por toda la portada. La he protegido con Mood-podge para sellas la pintura. El lomo y la parte trasera esta hecha con una tela de encuadernar que imita el vaquero. El interior esta forrado con un papel de Los Básicos de Elena (de Basic Crea y Pega papel y tijeras)

But I did not want to put many layers on the cover, I wanted it manageable, so I decided to take one of the objects for the collection and paint it by hand with Prima and CarrotCake by Vallejo watercolors.
As it was very white, I added drops all over the cover. I have protected it with Mood-podge to seal the painting. The back and the spine are made with blue binding fabric. The interior is covered with a blue cardstock by "Los baiscos de Elena" (from Basic Crea and Pega Papel y Tijeras)

En el interior van tres cuadernos, uno para los horarios y cosas organizativas de la feria, otro que se convertirá en un minialbun 'in situ' y el tercero es para apuntar técnicas y elementos que pueda aprender. Los tres están hechos con la colección de Kora. añadí capas de papel pero ningún otro elemento decorativo ya que quiero que sea fácil escribir en ellos. Excepto el que será el minialbum, pero aún no he comenzado el interior.
