Una de mis fiestas preferidas es Halloween, pero no el halloween que implica ir a ver pelis de miedo (no puedo con ellas) sino el halloween de los disfraces y del truco o trato. Y el hecho de que podemos en estas fechas ser un poco oscuros o góticos en nuestros trabajos. Hoy os traigo uno de esos trabajos, que aunque oscuro en colores no es, pero si es un tanto creepy por eso del esqueleto y tal.
One of my favourites celebrations is Halloween, but not the one that means lots of scary films, I like trick or trip and costume Halloween. An the fact that we cab be a little gothics and darkness at crafts. Today I want to show you one of these kind of works, is not dark but it have a little creepy thing.
Es un tag de tamaño estándar, hecho especialmente para hallo y con un estilo Tim Holtz que me encanta. Como veis tiene muchos elementos y muchas tecnicas en el, asi que vamos poco a poco.
Por un lado el tag es un tag de cartulina negra, esa es mi capa base que me permite tener un marco oscuro que realza el amarillo. El fondo está creado con una cartulina blanca a la que añdi una primera capa de tinta Distress amarilla usando el color "Squeezed lemonade" y un poco de "Spiced marmalade". Tras esto estampé un sentimiento por todo el fondo con tinta versamark y le añadí polvos de emboss transparentes. De este modo esta primera capa se queda protegida y se mantiene su color, porque el siguiente paso es dar un poco mas de tinta spiced marmalade y aplicar Distress Stain de color "Wild honey" para oscurecer aun más y darle un poco de textura como de aguas. El fondo se termina estampando el esqueleto y las telarañas en color negro para que resalten, y embejeciendo un poco los bordes también con color negro
It's a standard size tag, made for Halloween and in the Tim Holtz style and products. As you see there isr a lot of things an techniques so weare going to see it step by step
The base is a black cardstock tag, this initial layout allows me to create a black frame that is going to pop up the yellow colours. The back ground layer is created with a white cardstock with a soft layer of Disyress Inks (Squeezed lemonade and Spiced marmalade). After that I embossed the sentiment several times with clear embossing powered. With that the letters maintains the initial colour. Because I applied more dark colours to rest of the background using more spiced marmalade ink and"Wild honey" Distress Stain that create some kind of water effect. The background is finished with some stamps and a little bit of black at the edges
La parte principal del tag la forma un conjunto de elementos. El titulo, estampado en un papel envejecido con Distress Stain en color Wild honney y con efecto pergamino, y tres elementos realizados en tres texuras diferentes :
- La calabaza es un sello coloreado con los mismos colores de distress y sobre el que he aplicado una capa homogenea de polvos de emboss transparente. De esta forma queda brillante, con efecto cristal.
- El murciélago esta hecho con un stencil gracias al cual he recortado la forma. La superficie está cubierta con Distress Glitter Black soot.
- El bote está estampado en papel de acetato transparente y coloreado con Alcohok Ink de color Cranberry
The
main part of the tag is the bottom. I create it with different
elements that each one have a different texture.
- The title like a old
paper, the pumpkin is a stamp coloured with the same distress inks and embossed with UTEE.
- I used a stencil to create the bat form, simulated a
stamp. The texture its made with Distress Glitter Black soot.
- The red thin is stamped in transparent paper and coloured with Cranberry Alcohok Ink.
Por ultimo en el lateral superior añadí un toque para que no quedara tan vacío. Con el mismo stencil que el murciélago cree la forma de la calavera, pero esta vez en un plástico mágico o Shrink plastic de Ranger.
At least I add a some decoration in the top so it was less empty. Is the same stencil as the bat, I painted the skull but this time in Ranger's Shrink plastic. This is a plastic that when you heat it change his size and you can see that cool effect of transparent on one side and black on the other.
Una de las cosas que más me gusta de este tag es la combinación de amarillo y negro. Y trabajar con unos productos tan buenos. Y a vosotros? os gusta Halloween ?
